Meet the family behind Oma’s Kitchen
Oma’s Kitchen may be new, but the heart behind it has been growing for a long time.
It began with Oma Gerhild’s recipes. The rouladen, the red cabbage, the potato dumplings, the cakes, the soups, the little kitchen tips, and the familiar tastes that brought back memories for so many families.
But over time, it became more than a recipe collection.
It became a way to hold on to heritage. A way to remember where we came from. A way to pass along the food, stories, traditions, and family moments that can so easily fade from one generation to the next.
That is what Oma’s Kitchen is really about.
Yes, you’ll find German recipes here. Lots of them. But behind those recipes is a family story. A story of German roots, Canadian kitchens, trips through Germany, old family favorites, new ideas, and the next generation learning what it means to keep these traditions alive.
