Lentil Soup and Ordinary Moments

A splash of vinegar.

 

The past two weeks have been full and happy, and the house is only now quiet again.

 

Our youngest, Eran, came over from Wales with his family to celebrate his eldest boy’s fourth birthday and to introduce us to their newest little one, though she is already sixteen months old.

 

You can imagine how full our hearts were, having both my Schätz and my Schätzchen running around these rooms.

 

There are so many little moments I keep going back to now that they have flown home.

 

One of them was simply sitting with my little Schätz and reading him a German book a friend had lent us. He was on my lap, tucked right in, just as Eran used to be when he was that age.
