Kale, Sausage Soup and an Old Wringer Washer
One old washer.
My very first washer, back in the early 1970s, was a wringer washer. It wasn’t fancy, but I was grateful to have it. I grew up with one and I had squished my fingers more than once, but in those days you used what was available and you learned quickly.
When I finally got a modern spin washer, I didn’t have the heart to get rid of the old wringer right away. Just in case.
Well, it turns out that machine did not sit around waiting to be useful. It found a new job.
Cleaning kale.
Yes, really.
