Breaded Pork Chops and Cabin Cooking
A meal for five chops.
I was thinking about a little island in northern Ontario. It was the kind of place that made me feel both brave and very vulnerable (and not just because of the bears).
When our three boys were little (and long before they grew taller than me), we used to go there every year. It was barely an acre. Quite literally a mound of rock with trees and big old boulders, and an old miner’s cabin perched at the very top.
There was a generator if we needed a bit of evening light, but otherwise it was proper roughing it.
