Schnabulieren (shnah-boo-LEER-en) Literally “to nibble” or “to eat with relish” From schnabel (beak) + -ieren, a verb ending often used for borrowed or playful-sounding words. Schnabulieren has been around since about the 1500s and is still a cheeky way to talk about enjoying a little something to eat. Very useful when “snacking” sounds far too ordinary.
