Reiselust (RY-zuh-loost) Literally “desire to travel” From reisen (to travel) + lust (desire or enjoyment). Reiselust means the eagerness to set out and see somewhere new. The feeling became especially familiar in German travel writing during the 1800s, when journeys through Germany and beyond became increasingly popular.
