2. Joining, Logging In & Account Access
How do I access Oma’s Kitchen after signing up?
Do I need a password?
What happens if I joined Oma’s Kitchen but can’t log in?
Go to justlikeoma.com/kitchen. If you’re already logged in, you’ll go straight to Oma’s Kitchen. If you’re not logged in, click Log In near the top of the page.
Note: we use Shopify’s secure customer account login system. Instead of creating or remembering a password, Shopify will send you a login code by email.
No. Our login system uses secure email verification.
When you log in, Shopify sends a code to your email address so you can access your account.
First, make sure you’re using the same email address you used when signing up.
If you’re still having trouble, contact us and we’ll help check your account access.
3. Managing Your Oma’s Kitchen Access
Can I cancel Oma’s Kitchen?
Do I lose access to Oma’s Kitchen if I cancel?
Can I rejoin after canceling?
Where do I manage my account?
Yes. You can cancel from your account area.
After canceling, you’ll continue to have access until the end of your current paid period. Your access will not renew after that.
Yes. Once your paid access period ends, you’ll lose access to Oma’s Kitchen content, including the Recipe Library, ad-free recipe pages, private articles, videos and community access.
Yes. You can rejoin Oma’s Kitchen later, as long as signup is available.
Pricing and available offers may be different when you return.
You can manage your Oma’s Kitchen access from your Manage Membership area.
That’s where you can view your current plan, update payment information, manage renewals, or cancel.
4. Billing, Renewals & Payments
Can I choose monthly or yearly access?
Is yearly access cheaper than paying monthly?
Will my Oma’s Kitchen access renew automatically?
Will I get a refund if I cancel?
What happens if my payment fails?
Can I update my credit card or payment information?
Yes. Oma’s Kitchen is available with monthly or yearly billing options when those options are shown on the signup page.
Yes. The yearly (annual) option gives you 12 months of access at a lower total cost than paying month to month for a full year.
Yes. Oma’s Kitchen renews automatically unless you cancel before your next renewal date.
You can manage or cancel your access from your Manage Membership area.
Canceling stops your next renewal. Your access continues until the end of your current paid period.
Cancelling does not issue a refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.
If your payment fails, our system will automatically retry the payment. You may also receive an email asking you to update your payment information.
If the payment is not completed after the retry period, your Oma’s Kitchen access may be paused or removed.
Yes. You can update your payment information from the Manage Membership area.
If a renewal payment fails, you may also receive an email with instructions for updating your card.
Are the recipes different from the free recipes on Quick German Recipes?

Most of these recipes are based on the Just Like Oma and Quick German Recipes collection, but Oma’s Kitchen gives you a better, ad-free experience.
Inside Oma’s Kitchen, recipes are easier to browse, print, save, and use in the kitchen. You’ll also find recipe cards, cook mode, organized categories, and member-only Insider recipe access.
Some recipes and features are only available inside Oma’s Kitchen.
Yes. The Oma’s Kitchen Recipe Library is designed as a completely ad-free recipe experience.
Yes. Recipes can be printed in standard page format and as printable recipe cards.
Recipe cards are designed for practical kitchen use, which includes 8.5×11 and 4×6 options.
Cook Mode gives you a cleaner recipe view for cooking in the kitchen.
It helps keep the recipe easier to follow while you’re preparing the dish.
Yes. Oma’s Kitchen is designed to grow over time.
New recipes, stories, articles, videos, German heritage content, and member-first updates will be added continuously and regularly.

6. Gift Subscriptions
Can I buy Oma’s Kitchen as a gift?
I’ve been gifted an Oma’s Kitchen subscription. Why am I being asked for credit card information when I claim it?
Can I use a Just Like Oma Shop gift card for Oma’s Kitchen?
Can I choose monthly or annual when sending Oma’s Kitchen as a gift?
Does the gift start right away?
Yes! You can purchase an Oma’s Kitchen gift subscription for someone else.
Simply click here for the subscription and choose "Send as Gift".
When you send Oma’s Kitchen as a gift, the recipient will receive instructions for claiming their membership access. Their gifted subscription covers the initial membership period you purchased for them.
Please note that future renewals are handled by the recipient after they claim their gift.
To activate a subscription membership, payment information is required for future renewals.
Your gift covers the initial membership period, so you will not be charged when you claim your gift. You would only be charged later if your membership renews after the gifted period ends.
You can cancel anytime before renewal, which means your credit card will not be charged. If you were gifted more than one month or one year of membership, be sure to cancel before your gifted membership period runs out if you do not want it to renew.
Note: you will be emailed 3 days before your membership renews.

A Just Like Oma Shop digital gift card can indeed be used toward eligible products in the shop, including an initial Oma’s Kitchen membership purchase.
However, gift cards cannot be used for automatic Oma’s Kitchen membership renewals.
Yes. You can choose the monthly or annual Oma’s Kitchen option before sending the gift.
You can choose any number of months or years of membership you desire.
The recipient’s initial gifted period will match the option you purchased.
The membership only starts when the recipient claims the gift and completes the signup process.

Can I share my Oma’s Kitchen access with someone else?

Please do not share your login or account access publicly or with people outside your household.
If you need help with logging in, account access, billing, or using Oma’s Kitchen, please contact us here and we’ll be happy to help out.
We will reply within 1–2 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
During busy seasons, launches, or high-volume periods, replies may take a little longer, but we do our best to answer as quickly as possible.
